Una splendida villa dell’Ottocento, recentemente restaurata, vi dà il benvenuto con esclusivi interni, un elegante giardino Inglese, uno splendido panorama sul mare ed un accesso privato al mare. Nel pittoresco borgo marinaro di Torre Archirafi che si trova sulla costa ionica della Sicilia, a pochi passi dalla bella cittadina di Riposto, vicino “ad un piccolo angolo di paradiso sulla terra”: Taormina.
L’appartamento, di 120 metri quadri, si trova al piano terra della villa, di cui condivide solo ingresso e parcheggio. La privacy è completa in questa bella e raffinata villa storica, che può ospitare fino a 4 persone in ampi e confortevoli spazi. Il recente restauro (terminato nel maggio 2013) ha preservato il tipico carattere siciliano della casa – piastrelle in maiolica, pavimenti in terracotta, spazi freschi e luminosi, mobilio antico e raffinato – senza rinunciare ai comfort più moderni.
Fuori, il panorama è magico. Il pergolato privato (accessibile unicamente agli ospiti del piano terra), arredato con mobili da esterno, sarà perfetto per il miglior buongiorno possibile, con fragranti cornetti appena sfornati e lo spettacolo del mare giusto di fronte. È presente anche una pratica area barbecue, per deliziose cene all’aperto a base di pesce, dai mercati vicini, oltre ad una zona solarium proprio sull’impeccabile prato inglese. il panorama qui è davvero mozzafiato, soprattutto quando il sole inizia a calare ed i toni di colore si moltiplicano sulle onde cangianti del mare. E poi, basta solo girare lo sguardo per ammirare l’imponente spettacolo del maestoso Etna, da poco nominato patrimonio mondiale UNESCO, con le verdi foreste del suo Parco.
All’interno, l’area living conserva i tratti dell’antica dimora: volte, pavimenti di qualità e muri in pietra. L’organizzazione degli spazi interni è davvero funzionale. Gli ambienti sono ampi e luminosi: la zona living con le sue bellissime volte, i suoi mobili ed i raffinati dettagli (incluse le tipiche e prestigiose ceramiche Siciliane) si affaccia sul pergolato, e si trova proprio accanto alla zona pranzo, arredata con gusto e con dei prestigiosi mobili antichi. La cucina è completamente attrezzata ed è abbellita da maioliche siciliane; le stanze da letto sono comode e spaziose.
L’accesso diretto al mare è reso ancor più agevole da una piattaforma in legno che conduce, oltre gli scogli, ad un mare azzurro, dalle incantevoli trasparenze. La location ideale per una giornata di divertimento in acqua, o per la scoperta delle meraviglie di questi fondali ,se siete appassionati di diving! E naturalmente, per qualsiasi necessità, Il centro di Torre Archirafi si trova a soli 200 metri di distanza: qui troverete negozi, bar, ristoranti, ufficio postale, mercato e così via.

Torre Archirafi è un delizioso e placido borgo marinaro che gode di una posizione davvero privilegiata, prima di tutto per la sua vista mozzafiato. I vostri occhi si perderanno in uno scenario che va dal profilo maestoso dell’Etna, e dei suoi versanti verdeggianti e arriva alla bella Taormina, con le propaggini della catena dei Peloritani, e ancora più in là fino alle coste calabre. Di notte, non vi sarà difficile scorgere in mezzo al mare le piccole luci delle lampare. La mattina, le barche tornano con il pescato, venduto nel mercati del borgo: potrete acquistarlo per un barbecue, o gustarlo in uno dei tanti ristoranti tipici che si snodano lungo la costa.
Proseguendo per tre chilometri sulla strada panoramica che fiancheggia il mare raggiungerete Riposto, centro più grande e fornito di tutti i servizi necessari, incluso un porto turistico, ideale per gite giornaliere alla scoperta dello Ionio. L’incantevole Taormina si trova a soli 20 chilometri, e l’accesso al parco dell’Etna ne dista solamente 17.

The villa is incredible—right on the seafront. It’s an authentic, historic house full of charm, and we instantly felt at home. Everything we needed was available. Enrico ist ein äußerst freundlicher Mensch und lässt sein Zuhause zu deinem eigenen werden. Er war jederzeit für uns da und hat uns in allen Belangen unterstützt. Wer sich Sorgen macht, dass Enrico im oberen Stockwerk wohnt, kann beruhigt sein: Er respektiert die Privatsphäre seiner Gäste sehr und überlässt einem den gesamten Garten samt Gartenhäuschen.
Die Unterkunft ist ein Traum – direkt am Meer und sehr gepflegt. Auf den Fotos erkennt man es nicht genau, aber der Zugang zum Meer ist praktisch privat, und unten gibt es zwei Holzliegen, die man in vollen Zügen genießen kann. Der Weg ins Wasser ist zwar steinig, aber problemlos möglich.
Das Haus versprüht einen ganz besonderen italienischen Charme. Torre Archirafi ist zwar kein überlaufener Touristenort, aber gerade deshalb ideal, um den Menschenmassen zu entfliehen – und trotzdem liegen Städte wie Taormina, Catania und Syrakus ganz in der Nähe.
Wir würden jederzeit wieder in Enricos bezauberndes Zuhause zurückkehren.
