Una spiaggia di sabbia bianca e calda, lunga 3 km, con un mare azzurro cristallino che ricorda scenari tropicali: questa è San Vito lo Capo, una delle più famose destinazioni turistiche della provincia di Trapani e di tutta la Sicilia. La sua splendida spiaggia è stata eletta “spiaggia più bella d’Italia” nel 2011 ed i suoi colori sono perfetti per il relax, il nuoto o le immersioni subacquee. Il piccolo villaggio marinaro è cresciuto intorno alla chiesa principale: passeggiare per le sue strade significa scoprire piccoli angoli pittoreschi con antichi abbeveratoi, balconi fioriti, panchine in ferro battuto e simpatici cortili. Alla fine della strada principale, vi apparirà il meraviglioso mare che si insinua tra un antico faro e il monte Monaco.
Affittare una casa vacanza a San Vito Lo Capo vi permetterà di soggiornare a breve distanza da uno dei luoghi più incantevoli della Sicilia: la Riserva Naturale dello Zingaro, con scenari mozzafiato, scogliere e piccole cale, e una grande varietà di flora mediterranea e fauna. San Vito lo Capo, località vivace e coinvolgente, ospita anche il Cous Cous Fest: eredità della dominazione araba, il cous-cous di pesce è un piatto tipico che troverete in ogni ristorante, ed il festival ne celebra la fama e la bontà grazie al gran numero di famosi chef di tutto il mondo che ogni anno fanno apprezzare a tutti i visitatori le proprie interpretazioni di questo piatto semplice nella sua base ma gustosissimo per i mille condimenti possibili. Non dimenticate di assaggiare anche il “pani cunzatu”, pane di grano duro con le acciughe, olio extravergine, formaggio e pomodoro, e il tipico pesto alla trapanese, a base di basilico, pomodoro, aglio e mandorle: delizioso!
